Frank
J. Vitale, born and raised in New York City, is a rhythm
and blues vocalist with acoustic guitar accompaniment.
Growing up in East Harlem, he started his vocal career
as first tenor for several well-known local Doo Wop groups.
Influenced by the great R&B/Motown recording era, he features
music by Sam Cooke, Ben E. King, The Drifters, Otis Redding,
The Temptations and many others. Today, he combines this
repertoire with classic pop favorites featuring music
by The Beatles, Billy Joel, Elton John, Stevie Wonder
and more, but it is his good old R&B rock and roll that
gets the crowds on their feet singing and dancing.
Over the years, he has performed as a solo artist, lead
and second tenor, and in vocal ensemble. Affiliations
include:
- East River Drive
- Once Upon A Time
- Frankie and Kenny
- Street Lights
- Music Under New York
